The Laboratory for Thermal Engineering and Energy is one of the twelve and one of the greatest laboratories in the VINCA Institute, founded in 1954. In the Laboratory there are permanent 51 employees. 38 of them are researchers with diploma: mechanical engineers, chemical engineers, electrical engineers, physicists and chemists. High scientific level of the Laboratory is ensured with:
  • 15 PhD. holders
  • 12 M. Sc. holders
  • 12 researcher scientists with diploma (B.Sc.)
  • 8 technicians
  • 4 in administration and supporting service
Besides permanently employed researchers there is almost constant presence of graduate and post-graduate students conducting their studies and participating in projects of the Laboratory.

The Laboratory for Thermal Engineering and Energy is equipped for measurements and giving certificate for

  • measurement of emissions on boilers and furnaces

The Laboratory for Thermal Engineering and Energy is equipped for temperature, pressure, flow, velocity, gas and particle concentrations measurements at industrial and power plant. Research activities are usually conducted in two parallel ways: experimental work and mathematical modeling.
