Human Intrinsically Disordered Protein Interactions

IDPpi_tool is an open-access web service for finding proteins, interactors of human intrinsically disordered protein.

Based on a set of human intrinsically disordered proteins obtained from the DisProt database and dataset of protein interactions that was compiled from HIPPIE (Human Integrated Protein-Protein Interaction rEference) with confidence value above 0.40, where non-disordered protein sequences with more than 40% of homology similarity are removed, a classifier using a random forest algorithm was constructed with an average value of accuracy of 67% and AUC=0.75 for independent test sets. Compared to previous studies, our approach outperformed other state-of-the-art methods based on sequences in predictive performance and algorithmic efficiency.
