A delegation from the China Institute of Atomic Energy (CIAE) was formally welcomed on Thursday, October 29, by the Institute for Nuclear Sciences "Vinča". The delegation was received by Deputy Director Dr. Marija Janković, Head of the Laboratory for Radiation and Environmental Protection Dr. Marija Šljivić-Ivanović, and Deputy Head of the Laboratory for Physics Dr. Srđan Petrović.

Following the introductory presentation on the current activities of the Vinča Institute, Dr. Marija Janković emphasized the strategic importance of this visit for the future development of bilateral scientific cooperation.

After the discussion, the Memorandum on Academic and Scientific Cooperation was signed by the Deputy Director of the Institute, Dr. Marija Janković, and the Deputy Director General of the China Institute of Atomic Energy, Mr. Yang Ruzhen.

The representative of the Chinese delegation expressed profound satisfaction with the signing of the Memorandum. They emphasized that the China Institute of Atomic Energy is a reliable partner in this international endeavor.

Following the meeting in the formal Hall of the Administration Building, the Delegation toured the Institute's key laboratories: the Laboratory for Radiation and Environmental Protection, the Laboratory for Physics, and the Laboratory for Radiation Chemistry and Physics. During the tour, ideas were exchanged, and specific potentials for future joint projects and collaborative research were successfully defined.
