A meeting was held at the Vinča Institute of Nuclear Sciences with a delegation from the Ministry of Mining and Energy, comprising Radoš Popadić, Assistant Minister, Miroslav Popović, Special Adviser to the Minister, and Ivana Radičević, Legal Adviser. The meeting focused on discussing the next steps in the potential implementation of a nuclear energy project in the Republic of Serbia, as well as opportunities for further enhancing cooperation among relevant institutions

During the discussion, the importance of developing qualified human resources, strengthening institutional capacities, and exchanging knowledge was emphasized as a key element for the successful preparation and implementation of future activities in the field of nuclear energy. Director of the Vinča Institute, Dr Slavko Dimović, presented the Institute’s expertise, scientific capacities, and extensive experience in areas relevant to the peaceful applications of nuclear technologies, with particular emphasis on the role of the scientific community in the development of Serbia’s nuclear programme.
